International Workshop - Classes and Workshops

During the first week of the course, each student chooses which workshops he/she will attend during the term. The idea is for the student to "organise" his/her stay at Metáfora in a way which suits him/her personally. Workshops are meant as “appetizers” for the student to decide whether he/she wishes to continue experimenting with the technique presented. Workshops have a given theme and end with students presenting their work to the rest of the group.

Graffiti - March 2008

Graffiti is becoming widely used in contemporary art practice. Even for artists with no graffiti aspirations,
this workshop contributes with curious technical tricks and interesting information about contemporary
(urban) culture. History of Graffiti, guided tours of the walls in Barcelona, technical skills for making
stencils and using spay cans, . . .
